It’s officially the final days of Summer and by the end of the week we’ll be stepping into a new season. As we’ve had our first cold spell here in Manchester, I thought it’d only be right to look back on the past couple months with my top 3 Summer Planner Spreads. So lets wrap up Summer 2018 – it’s been a good one.
1. My Birthday Week! 13th – 19th August
Of course my number one favourite spread had to be my birthday week! Because it is all about me. Me. Me. It’s allowed on your birthday, surely?!
My birthday. Where to start?! Not only are we saying goodbye to Summer but also my teens. And I was happy to spend it surrounded my family in a place I know and love ( Fact: I have now spent the last 6 birthdays in Portugal!). Could be worse.
My day consisted of capturing ‘cool’ photos with my new iPhone 8. By the way, I would NEVER consider myself ‘cool.’ And yes – I did drag my dad to the Vodafone shop (to upgrade my phone) the day before we flew out. My sole purpose was to get an instagram photo in my birthday girl swimsuit. I succeeded.
As I was in Portugal for my birthday, I didn’t have a lot to mark down especially as I don’t take my planner on holiday with me. I kept it simple, making use of the deco that came with the kit. The rest of the week was a chilled one for me as I didn’t have much planned a part from spending my birthday money and tracking deliveries oops.
For my birthday it was only right to chose a kit that was pink! I used a kit from Harriet Wright Designs who is one of my favourite shops on Etsy. As soon as I saw this kit, I knew it would be perfect and I am not disappointed. I have been using her kits for 18 months now and I knew I could rely on her for my birthday.
2. 20th – 26th August
My second favourite spread will have to be the week after my birthday. My boyfriend actually got me this kit as a birthday present. Just imagine my 6’4ft military boyfriend scrolling through Etsy trying to pick a spread I would like. He told me he messaged the shop owner to make sure the paper was glossy because he knows I swear by glossy paper. He’ll have his own planner in no time!
The spread turned out so cute! It was my Grandmas’s birthday this week – does anyone find that they’ll be no birthdays then all of a sudden they’ll all come at once?! Thats definitely case for me, August and January are the busiest for birthdays!
This kit was from an Etsy shop called Vintage Rose Studios. I had never bought from this shop before so it was great to try something new and I will definitely be ordering from her again. What I loved most about this kit is the script stickers! I think they are great for marking things whilst looking pretty. Or maybe because it saves me writing it. One of the two. This kit came with lots of them and it’s a shame I couldn’t use them all but I’ll save the rest and use them in another spread.
3. 2nd – 8th July
I would say in third position will have to be the week of July 2nd – 8th. I went into Summer with a really positive outlook on what was to come – it was too good to be true! Two days later I failed my driving test. For the third time. Its okay I’m use to it by now.
Although it wasn’t the best start to the week, I started getting into the holiday spirit. I went in Calvin Klein. Selfridges. The usual. However nope. I decided on Primark. £10 for a beach bag?! Am I right girls?!
I loved this weeks colour scheme. It was perfect for the start of Summer, giving off real sun and sea vibes. I couldn’t wait to be on holiday. This kit is from Plannerface and if I’m leaving the Summer with nothing else, it would be a new favourite sticker shop. I think her personal kits are perfect for the type of planner I use currently (I have a new planner on the way!). And the list boxes are great for jotting things down and giving quick reminders.
It’s crazy how Summer flies by. It feels like two minutes since I was planning this spread. The Summer has been filled with ups and downs but then again that’s life. But amongst it all, I’ve made some great memories which I’ll be able to look back on forever. Now, I am looking forward to getting back into a routine as I start back at uni. As well as my boyfriend leaving the army. And starting this blog! I’m excited for whats to come. Bring it on.
