Lately I’ve got a bit sticker happy and with the Planner Boss Collective Sale a few weeks ago I’ve not been able to hold back. I tend to stick to the same UK sticker shops and never really see what else is on offer. For that reason, I made a conscious effort to try some new shops – I even have an international shop in there too. I’m so glad I decided to do this as I now have some new favourite shops. So here it goes.
Strawberry Lime Designs
So this Etsy shop is a new one to me. I found this shop when I was checking out Insta for all the shops participating in the Planner Boss Collective Sale. And I LOVE it! Recently I have decided to try a few new shops after last month only using Plannerface kits so I don’t get stuck in my ways. Plus it’s always great trying new shops. Don’t get me wrong Plannerface still has my heart and she’s coming up next.
But back to the point. I bought two kits to start of with from Strawberry Lime Designs. The first kit is called ‘Autumn Comforts.’ I was on the lookout for one more Autumn kit before my Halloween kits kick in. Then comes November it’ll be the more cold blues and purples sort of vibes. So when I saw this kit, I knew I just had to have it. I love the full boxes. My favourite one is the girl with the socks holding what I see as a cup of tea because thats totally me right now. I love the colours especially! They are so vibrant. I think the paper might have something to do with that. I can definitely say her paper is one of the best glossy papers I’ve tried.
I am currently using this kit in this weeks spread and I’m not disappointed. I got the mini version of this kit and there is more than enough stickers to a fill the page. That is my new B6 TN which I’m also absolutely loving at the moment. I did pick up the additional option of glitter headers as the mini kit did not come with headers but that’s not a problem. It seems I’ve really stepped my planning game up lately.
The second kit I bought from Strawberry Lime Designs is ‘Bonfire Night.’ I choose this kit because I haven’t been to a Bonfire in probably two years now and I think it’s about time that changes. I knew if I had a specific Bonfire kit then it would force me to go. Whatever the planner says, I must do. Lol. Also, I hadn’t seen many other shops doing a Bonfire Night kit. Being a UK shop, what I think is excellent is that she makes kits for both British and American celebrations. For example, there was a Thanksgiving kit available too so that way no one is left out! Without a doubt this kit sums up Bonfire Night and I can’t wait to go to one next month.
I ordered the full version of this kit but typically I go with mini kits. I wanted to get a real feel for her shop as it was my first time purchasing. I can already tell there is going to be way too many stickers for just one spread as I am using smaller planner. But it’ll be perfect those using planners such as the Erin Condren as there plenty of stickers. But it’s okay I’ll just save the leftovers and try to incorporate them into later spreads.
No surprise I have stickers from Plannerface. I thought I would throw in these two Autumn kits. I have had them for about a month now and already have used them in my planner. But they are great Autumn kits. The ‘Autumn Leaves’ kit was the first kit I used in my new planner so I will always remember this kit especially as it is right at the front of my planner. I have already showed the ‘Sweater Weather’ kit in my last post on my September Planner Spreads.
Again, during the Planner Boss Collection Sale I picked up two more kits from her shop. I decided to get the deluxe kit this time (Thought I would treat myself). The extra sheet comes with date covers, two more full boxes, square boxes, deco and more washi. I’m so glad I picked it up as I’ve been needing date covers for my new planner.
The first kit is called ‘Poppies’ and it is the perfect Remembrance Day kit. Like the Bonfire Night kit shown before, I hadn’t seen many shops doing a kit like this. A great thing to note about this kit is that 40% of sales will be donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. It is a great cause so I’m happy to be contributing to such a charity. As my boyfriend has just left the army, we will certainly be doing something special on the 11th November so I can’t wait to use such a meaningful kit.
The next kit is called ‘Cosy’ and I really like how she brought the pink this kit. I’m planning on using this kit in November in the run up to my Christmas kits. I think it’s the perfect transitional kit with the bauble elements especially. I love the boots in the full box. I want them in real life. Think they’ll come in handy with the cold weather as well as looking super cute lol. I also appreciate how these mini kits slip into a TN which is convenient for on the go planning. Overall, I’m happy with both kits and I’ll definitely be purchasing the additional sheet in the future.
As I did buy these two kits as part of the Planner Boss Collective Sale – I did receive this gorgeous planner paper clip. It’s from a shop called My Unicorn Planner. The first 30 orders from Plannerface placed during the sale received an exclusive freebie. I prepped my order the night before and set my alarm so I was in with the shot of making the first 30 and it worked! I did have my order checked out 1 minute after the sale went live. Lol. I’ve never had a planner paperclip before so I was very grateful to now have this one. Just means I’m now wanting more which means more pennies.
Simply A Mess
Another new shop for me. This shop is based in Canada. Shipping wise – no issues at all. Came within about 2/3 weeks of me placing the order. Will definitely buy from this shop again. I already have my eye on some of her Christmas kits. I love how there are characters and big graphics in her full boxes and this is a running theme for her other kits too. Also, her kits includes bold colours which I love.
The first kit is called ‘Treat Yo’ Self’ and OMG I absolutely adore this kit!!! The full boxes are amazing! The pumpkin nail polish box is totally giving me orange nail inspo for Halloween. I’m so picky when it comes to Halloween kits. I’m such a wuss that Halloween actually scares me lol so I don’t tend to make a big deal about it in my planner. BUT this kit has won me over! For once, I’m actually excited to use a Halloween kit in my planner. I never thought I would be saying that.
The second kit is called ‘Spooky Town’ and this kit is possibly borderline too spooky for me. It’s definitely the more traditional Halloween kit out of the two. However, for me and the way I plan I won’t need all 9 full boxes so I will probably skip on the ghosts and the skeleton and then I can make the kit work. Other than that, I like the kit particularly the quote box as ‘Being normal is vastly overrated’ – I couldn’t agree more. I also like how the kit is giving an Autumn feel as well as being a Halloween kit. I think that’s why I was drawn to it in the first place.
Finally, I placed an order with IckleandCo – yet again another new shop to me. It was only a small purchase but nonetheless I thought I would include it. As I was saying earlier I’ve have been needing some date covers. When I switched planners to a TN, I didn’t realise how much of an essential they would be as most kits I had already bought I didn’t think to add on date covers. So, I picked up two sheets of date covers (Only one sheet is shown – forgot to take a picture of the other oops). The first sheet is in the rose petal colour way and the second is in orange glitter. I chose the colours that I believed would go most with my upcoming kits and you can never go wrong with pink. I’m so impressed with this shop! The shipping was extremely quick. It was posted out the next day. Also the quality is fantastic. There was so many other colour options available too so I will definitely be getting some more very soon.
And there you have it. I think I’ll be good for a while don’t you. Lol. I do have all my kits planned up until the last week in November so I would say I did a good job. I’m now forcing myself to take a little break from sticker shopping for the time being. But it’ll be Christmas before you know it and I’ve seen all the Christmas kits being sold at the minute. If I wait too long, I’ll miss out on all my favourites. That being said it doesn’t look like my ‘Little break’ is going to be lasting much longer.
